Rossana Miele

Production team

Rossana Miele is an art producer who facilitates the development of artistic and cultural projects from the research phase to their manifestation. She is interested in the processes that come before the formalisation of a work and in the various interactions that are generated during this phase. Her most recent collaboration is with the Spanish Academy in Rome, as managing producer of the final projects of the artists and architects in residence for the 2014-2015 season. During the the years prior to this engagement she was managing director of the artist-in-residence program at MACRO, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, which began in 2012. Among the artists in residence at MACRO were: Julieta Aranda, Anna Franceschini, Francesca Grilli, Graham Hudson, Hiwa K, Jacopo Miliani, Jon Rafman, Sahej Rahal, Katerina Seda and Luca Trevisani.

In 2010 she began a collaboration with Italian artist Rossella Biscotti as researcher and producer of the projects The Trial (Il Processo) (2010), The Prison of Santo Stefano (2011), and Le Teste in Oggetto (2014). Other important experiences as an independent producer are the projects Exorcising Ancient Ghosts (2010), and the performance Your country does not exist, for artist duo Libia Castro & Ólafur Ólafsson. The latter of the two was a site-specific production for the Icelandic Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2011.
