Table-be-set is a story telling device that uses aromatic plants as a spark to evoke memories.
The audience is invited at the tables where, through a real life menu-garden of aromatic plants, they will be guided into a journey in their personal memories of aroma/test/texture of one of the plants on the menu.
What is set on and served at the table is not an “food” matter but a more universal matter that can also be quite nurturing: the personal stories that make us human.
The experiences of the participants will be evidenced trough means of drawing/sketches and audio recordings. Some of the drawings and anonymous quotes from the stories will make up the content of ceramic top tables that will be produced and installed at the Jardin Essentiel, to attest to the binding powers of the garden, made up, in equal parts of plants and affective memory.
