École Mondiale

In 1905, King Leopold II placed a cornerstone at Tervuren marking his project to build “École Mondiale” - a school to train businessmen, adventurers and explorers for a colonial career. However, the project was never manifested. Since 2014 École Mondiale’s aim is to redefine and critically investigate the feasibility of King Leopold’s original vision, as an artistic and pedagogical project.
