Judith Wielander is an independent curator based in Bruxelles. She has been a collaborator for several years of Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, for whom she curated exhibitions such as Contemporary Myths – Wael Shawky (including the film production of Cabaret Crusades: The Horror Show File, first part of the trilogy, 2010), C’est à ce prix que vous mangez du sucre , Place Beyond Borders, Turningpoint Literature as well as community based art projects and conferences. She has been a member of the artistic direction of the Turin Biennial Big Social Game (2002) and curator of Evento II, Urban Art Biennial of Bordeaux (2011). She has been cocurator of Interiors. Notes and Figures – Belgian Pavilion at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia (2014) and cocurator of the artistic program that allowed Matera to access the final shortlist in the competition for the Title ‘European Capital of Culture 2019′. Currently she is codirecting Visible, art as something else - initiated 2009, a research project on socially engaged artistic practices in a global context.
